The Care Guy's blog

Hello and welcome to The Care Guy's blog.

Please have a look around and feel free to comment on anything that catches your eye.

I hope to make this a useful resource, not just a 'come and buy my services' blog and the comments and opinions of visitors is likely to be a big part of making the blog a success.

I look forward to hearing from you.

The Care suitability Scale - a survey for care workers

Posted on 10:44am Sunday 22nd Apr 2012
Listed under: Psychology, Support work

Amy, the creator of this questionnaire, posted this on facebook the other day. It seems a worthy endeavour so I’m reposting this (with Any's permission) here.

“I am a student with a long history of working in care. I am studying Psychology at the University of Worcester and am looking for participants who are currently working as Care Assistants or Support Workers of any level, and in any sector, to complete a short online questionaire.

My study is examining the personality type of professional Carers, with the aim of designing a personality test which can be used as part of the recruitment process by Care providers. I believe that by designing a test which identifies people who are naturally suited to a job in Care, I may be able to help Care providers recruit staff who will be happier in their jobs, will stay with their employer longer, and most importantly, will provide a better standard of Care. I would be very grateful if anyone who has a spare 10 minutes could help.

If you could repost this link on your wall, or forward to anyone you know who works as a carer or support worker, I would really appreciate it. Thank you!!”
